Barry Davison, the quiet man of Classics

Cullybackeys Barry Davison is without doubt one of the most consistent road racers around to day, despite his success, which unfortunately has been sadly overlooked by the motor cycle media.

Competing in both Classic and Forgotten Era classes, Barry won no less than 9 Irish road races last season, bringing his tally to an amazing 56 wins.

There are no airs or graces with Barry, who is  realistic about his goals, the 41 year old joiner, achieved what he set out to do last season, and is looking forward to the 2018 season with the same vigour.

Not only is Barry a seasoned campaigner, he also takes time to help with the MCUI(UC) Training Schools and also with the newcomers at the Road Races.

For 2018, Barry hopes to take  on another role in the sport, as he has now turned sponsor!, where he will have Peter Shannon on board his BD40 125 Honda at selected short circuits, and hopefully on the roads at some time during the season.

2018 looks to be another busy season for Barry, with plans to contest the 350cc & 500cc classic Irish Championships, Pre TT classic IOM, Selected Aintree rounds,  on Sam Dempster 350cc Honda, Hutton Honda 500cc Honda, Team Gimbert 250cc 350cc & 500cc Hondas, Bry Joinery TZ 250cc Yamaha!

Davison will also have another bike to ride this season, Thanks to Mark Kirkpatrick, Barry will contest the new Supermono class on the MKR 690 Yamaha which you will see at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100.
