Cage Fighter makes road race debut

Cage Fighter makes road race debut Thirty Three year old Brickie Dermot Cleary from Draperstown, a former Cage Fighter will make his road race debut at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 on 27th/28th April. Dermot, always had an interest in bikes from an early age, and dreamt, that one day he would participate in a road race Dermot made his debut at the Enniskillen 100 revivals inaugural Irish championship event in the pre injection class. Having put the cage fighting aside to concentrate on his bike racing, Cleary has produced some excellent results in his first full season of racing, including a few podium finishes. “ I suppose, having ridden around the roads in my younger day, the attraction of competing in an actual road race has probably been one of my goals in racing, and all being well, I will make my debut at my local race the Cookstown 100” Explained Dermot, as he counts down the days for this event. “ Over the years I’ve spectated at Cookstown and it being local to me am excited to be making it my very first road race and I will be riding my R6 Yamaha in the Senior Support class!” My Thanks to my good friends and sponsors; Martin Conway “Tile in Style”, Oliver Moore “Vehicle Repairs” Ady Wilson “WILL A LTD”, NK Construction And The “Shamrock Bar” Draperstown
