McLean, one to watch at KDM Hire Cookstown 100

Surprize winner of last years 600 supersport race was up and coming road racer, Adam McLean, the Tobermore rider made his road race debut here at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 a couple of years ago,and since then has shown a mature approach to road racing.

McLean, who this year will be riding for local race sponsor,Winston McAdoo, who is celebrating 40 years in the sport .

For the mauve coloured bikes,McLean will contest the 600 and open races, whilst he will also compete in the Moto 3 class, on board a 250 Honda, riding for fellow local racer, and a long time supporter of the Cookstown 100,Jack Sands, Adam will also have a new 650 Kawasaki for the supertwin races, thanks to long time friend and faithful supporter of road racing,Roy Hanna.

This weekend will no doubt be a busy one for the Tobermore mechanic who admits, that he will  have  some self inflicted pressure on his shoulders ,having  come away with good results last year! but Adam is really looking forward to it!!

McLeans road racing career started at cookstown in 2015 where I finished 4th in the 125 race and third in junior support.. Since then, he has finished second in the moto 3, third in the supertwin race and a win on the 600 last year.

Speaking at the recent Press Launch,Adam told me;”I've got a great team around me this year with Mcadoo racing and Roy Hanna Motors, also having MSS Performance on board again this year to work with me is also brilliant.. I couldn't ask for better! It also wouldnt be possible without my fantastic personal sponsors, so a massive thank you to everyone involved!I wish everyone involved with the KDM Hire Cookstown all the best and heres hoping for a cracking weekends racing”
